Community Service 2015/2016
August 24 --- Bus Driver Appreciation
Members took juice, doughnuts and appreciation cards to the Bus Barn at 7:00AM so the bus drivers received their treat before they left on their bus routes.
September 5 --- BigPal/LittlePal
Seventy-five members attended our first BigPal/LittlePal meeting with Kindergarten.
October 30 --- Pink Out
Members had sold T-shirts and Rowdy Row tickets for this event at a home football game. Money raised was donated to Breast Cancer Research.
November 5 --- Socks at Extravaganza
Members donated socks to be given to patients at area Nursing Homes.
November 12 --- Angel Tree
Eight members set up and decorated the Angel Tree Christmas tree at the Spiro Public Library.
December 1-11 --- Canned Food Drive
Our chapter and the Spiro Public Library conducted the Canned Food Drive for our community and Angel Tree families. Contests were held for each building - Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle School - for the class that donated the most food items.
December 14 --- Shopping for Angel Tree
Members shopped for Angel Tree child that the chapter had adopted from our local Angel Tree.
December 15 --- Big Pal/LittlePal
Three members dressed as Santa and Elves to visit Kindergarten classes and lower elementary classes. Members did a Christmas activity with their Little Pals.
Leadership Development 2015/2016
June 3-5 --- District Officer Training
A state sponsored activity that all district officers attend.
June 17-19 --- Rookie Camp
Four members attended our state's Rookie Camp for new or older members -- gives additional leadership information/training.
July 2-10 --- National Leadership Conference
Two members attended NLC in our nation's capitol this past summer in Washington, D.C.
August 6 --- Officer Planning
Officers spend the day in the FACS room planning for the year.
Every Tuesday at Lunch - Officer Meetings
September 2 --- LEAD meeting
This is our state's training for all local officers. It is a day long activity.
September 24 --- Initiation/Installation
All members and parents attend this meeting -- new member are initiated and the 2014-15 officers are installed.
October 3 --- Oklahoma Challenge
Ten members from our chapter attended- sponsored by Oklahoma Department of Highway Safety - emphasis was on distracted driving. Members planned activities for chapter dealing with distracted driving.
October 6 --- Take AIM
This is a leadership activity sponsored by our state for young members-- our chapter had twelve members that attended.
October 29 --- District Leadership Meeting
Our chapter hosts this for the twenty-one schools in our district. There is a speaker, awards are given, and chapters report on activities.
November 19-22 ---Cluster
Ten members attended Cluster in Indianapolis, Indiana.
December 8 --- District STAR Events
Eight members participated in seven contests. We had one student that placed 1st and five members that placed 2nd.

Fundraising 2015/2016
August 18-September 10 --- Popcorn Sales
Member sell bags of premade popcorn. We raised $1000.
August 24-September 9 --- Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough Sales
This is a yearly sale for our chapter - we raised $7500.
December-February --- Hot Chocolate Sales
These are held on Wednesdays & are used as a fundraiser for NLC.
February 8-16 --- Candy Bar Sales
This is a yearly sale for our chapter - we usually raise $2500.
Social Activities 2015-16
September 4 --- Early Bird Lunch
Students that have their dues paid by this date are treated to a lunch and drink (usually something easy to prepare -- spaghetti, tacos, etc)
September 14 --- FCCLA Picnic
Members attend a picnic with inflatables, games, pizza, and lots of fun!
September 23 --- State Fair
Members make projects to enter into the fair then get to attend on student day.
November 5 --- District Extravaganza
Our chapter hosts this for our 21 district chapters at our football field -- lots of games, activities and food. Food was furnished and prepared by Community State Bank!!
December 10--- Chapter Christmas Party
Members attend chapter Christmas party after school & enjoy game night & Dirty Santa.
December 14 --- Chapter Christmas Party
Officers exchange Christmas gifts, eat, and take a trip to see the Christmas lights & ride the Christmas train at night.

Chapter National Programs
Families Acting for Community Traffic Safety (FACTS) is a national peer education program through which students strive to save lives educating adults and youth about traffic safety and supporting enforcement of local rules and regulations regarding community traffic safety.
